Ultra high pressure waterjet cutting is a kind of cold cutting method. There are different cutting and processing methods for metal materials (like carbon steel, stainless steel, nonferrous metal, alloy material, etc.), including tool machining, laser cutting, flame cutting, plasma cutting, electrical impulse line cutting, ultra high pressure waterjet cutting, etc. The above cutting methods have their own advantages and certain limitations.

Advantages
Compared to the hot cutting method, this cold cutting method enjoys many advantages. It will not generate high temperature, not change the stress structure, and not affect the chemical and physical properties of the materials to be cut.
Ultra high pressure waterjet cutting also does not produce heat-affected zones resulting in high cutting precision and not produce waste oil and waste gas. It is applicable for processing work pieces with various shapes and patterns. This cold cutting method is also extensively used to process different metal materials in metal cutting industry and mechanical equipment manufacturing industry.
Ultra high pressure waterjet cutting has been highly recognized in the pharmaceutical machinery, food machinery, packaging machinery, printing machinery, dyeing and finishing machinery, environmental protection machinery, tobacco machinery, elevator equipment, agricultural machinery and other mechanical equipment manufacturing. This cold cutting method is utilized for cutting and processing panel, frame and other components.
In the manufacturing process of mechanical equipment, a wide variety of materials and high precision are needed.
